Day 7 - Symbol Challenge 2

The Da Vinci Code Quest on Google Walkthrough Answers and Hints

This puzzle is very similar to the first Symbol Puzzle except for the fact that it is now a 5 X 5 grid rather than the 4 X 4 previously seen.

As before, the challenge looks a little daunting, but it is basically a simple Sudoku type puzzle which can be solved fairly easily. The only real snag is having to consider the shaded regions as well as the columns and rows... The instructions use the word 'distinct', which means that each square in each row, column and shaded region has to contain a different symbol. A little more complexity than before but you can simply reset the puzzle until you have quite a few symbols in row thereby making the next symbol that much easier to guess.

The final question is: What are 35 cubits in meters to the nearest Whole Number?

The answer is 16.
